The times they ARE a-changin'

Een talentenjacht op Boulder High school leverde afgelopen week een bezoek van de geheime dienst op. Reden voor het bezoek was een repetitie waarin één van de bands Bob Dylan's Masters of War speelde.
The last verse begins: "And I hope that you die; And your death'll come soon. bron"
The woman - who did not give her real name on the air - said her daughter had heard members of a band say, "George Bush, I hope you die, and I hope you die soon" and "I'll stand over your grave." bron
Threatening the president is a federal crime, so the Secret Service was called to the school to investigate. bron
Boulder Principal Ron Cabrera said Secret Service agents questioned him for 20 minutes and took a copy of the lyrics. They did not ask to speak to any of the students but they did question a teacher. bron
The students were eventually permitted to sing the song. If we ever let the reverse happen, America will stop being America. bron
